NEW YORK, NY — July 15, 2025 — KIOSKO, EL CONSULADO’s mobile platform for Venezuelan contemporary art, has concluded a special solidarity fundraising initiative in support of World Central Kitchen’s relief efforts in Venezuela.
KIOSKO, a project by EL CONSULADO, was presented at Henrique Faria| New York by eugenia sucre • projects as part of the exhibition Venezuelan Cultural Diplomacy. The initiative transformed KIOSKO into a space for collective action following the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela.
Together, KIOSKO generated US$13,849 in sales across 54 works and artist-made objects, with proceeds benefiting World Central Kitchen’s relief efforts in Venezuela. Henrique Faria Fine Art also donated its gallery commission to the fundraiser, further strengthening this collective effort.
A Collective Response
Originally conceived as a mobile platform for circulating books, editions, publications, and small-format works by Venezuelan and diasporic artists, KIOSKO became something more in the wake of the humanitarian crisis.
More than 200 carefully selected works and objects—including paintings, drawings, prints, artist books, zines, records, cassettes, postcards, stickers, pins, and editions—were made available through a special fundraising presentation.
The exhibition remained on view at Henrique Faria | New York through July 6, culminating in a closing gathering that brought together artists, collectors, and members of the community around a shared commitment to supporting Venezuela.
