A Cultural Platform for Venezuelan Art and Its Diaspora

Artist-led and based in New York, EL CONSULADO builds visibility, exchange, and cultural infrastructure through exhibitions, public programs, publishing, and collaborative initiatives.

What We Do

EL CONSULADO creates platforms for Venezuelan and diasporic artists and cultural practitioners to exchange knowledge, develop collaborations, and connect with audiences across generations and geographic locations.

Our Tools

Exhibitions, publications, and conversations.

Our Methods

Mobility, exchange, and memory.

Our Results

Visibility, connection, and a stronger cultural ecosystem.

KIOSKO: Our Flagship Program

KIOSKO is EL CONSULADO's flagship program for circulation, dialogue, and collective visibility. Through exhibitions, public programs, workshops, exchanges, and activations, it connects Venezuelan and diasporic artists with audiences, communities, and cultural institutions.

EL CONSULADO NYC presented KIOSKO at NADA Miami 2025, held at Ice Palace Studios from December 2–6, 2025. Organized by New York's New Art Dealers Alliance, NADA is a global stage where groundbreaking art and new voices are discovered and amplified.

  • Representation: Venezuelan creativity — diverse, resilient, and multidisciplinary — at one of the most prestigious art events in the U.S.
  • Cultural Power: EL CONSULADO, debuting as the first NYC-based Venezuelan collective to present at NADA Miami 2025 during Miami Art Week.
  • A Historic Milestone: Over 40 Venezuelan artists showcased together in the U.S. for the first time in decades, a defining moment for Venezuelan diaspora art.
