EL CONSULADO Presents KIOSKO Pop-Up Exhibition at The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts

New York, NY — This Weekend (Fri Jan 9–Sun Jan 11)
EL CONSULADO, a New York-based collective of Venezuelan artists, presents KIOSKO, a three-day pop-up exhibition and community gathering hosted by the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA). Following its landmark debut at NADA Miami 2025, KIOSKO will feature work by 47 Venezuelan contemporary artists and performers across media. Over the course of the weekend, the exhibition will be a site for gathering, musical performances, and critical dialogue, including a live Zoom panel and Q&A with Caracas-based artists.

The pop-up unfolds at a moment of heightened reflection for Venezuelans, prompting renewed conversations around memory, responsibility, and the role of cultural practice in shaping collective understanding. KIOSKO offers a space for gathering & exchange, foregrounding dialogue around artistic practices.

Developed as an artist-run initiative, EL CONSULADO NYC responds to the ongoing need for visibility, connection, and care within Venezuelan artistic communities. While the project foregrounds collective reflection and community-building, works presented during the pop-up will be available for purchase, supporting the artists and future initiatives by the collective.
