Launched in April 2025, EL CONSULADO NYC has become a gathering place for New Yorkers from every corner of the globe to create, share, and celebrate diasporic cultures through contemporary art.
Born from the longstanding absence of institutional support and consular representation for Venezuelan artists in the U.S., EL CONSULADO NYC reimagines the consulate not as a bureaucracy but as a creative magnet. This dynamic platform now amplifies diasporic artistic expression internationally, fostering cross-cultural dialogue, resilience, and community building through interdisciplinary artistic practices.
