Audino Díaz
Contemporary Visual Artist
Venezuela
Audino Díaz is a Venezuelan contemporary artist whose practice explores reflections on nature and the relationship between human beings and the natural environment. He began his artistic career at the age of 17 and received formal training at the Armando Reverón University Institute of Plastic Arts in Caracas, as well as at the SculptureCenter and the Art Students League in New York. His body of work spans sculpture, installation, drawing, and the use of diverse natural and industrial materials. Díaz has represented Venezuelan visual art internationally, with projects and exhibitions in the United States, Spain, Germany, Colombia, and Mexico. His practice is deeply informed by Land Art—a movement that emerged in the 1960s through figures such as Richard Long, Andy Goldsworthy, and Robert Morris—emphasizing dialogue between nature and humanity and the ephemeral condition of artworks shaped by environmental forces. Recently, he has established his studio in Asturias, continuing a practice grounded in subtle, respectful interventions within natural landscapes.
